Sono i pertugi di una città come Venezia che ci permettono di scorgere un giovane artista in formazione: dapprima impegnato con il diploma ISA in ceramica e, successivamente, con una laurea in scultura, manipolazione e decorazione presso la rinomata Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia.

Con un encomio solenne di Maestro d’Arte per l’eccellente maestria nella fusione materico-vitrea in argilla, Cristiano Pasqual sigla il suo percorso di formazione e l’inizio di un debutto nel mondo complesso e affascinante dell’arte.

Egli riveste il ruolo dell'antico Maestro d’Arte, un mestiere che fonda le sue basi negli elementi della natura: terra, fuoco e acqua si uniscono al soffio vitale dell’aria per plasmare la materia.

​

Sostenuto e ispirato dai suoi maestri, Candido Fior e Alberto Burri, porta nella sua visione artistica l’esperienza e l’immersione totale nell’arte millenaria della ceramica giapponese, nella tradizione del segno e nella sacralità rituale delle forme. È proprio in Giappone che consegue tre Master nelle tecniche degli ossidi, dei minerali e nella manipolazione decorativa.

Lo “Shibaru” entra nel suo immaginario per creare opere uniche, caratterizzate da imperfezioni e variazioni cromatiche realizzate con sola maestria manuale, sia nel taglio che nella stesura di smalti e ossidi. Questa antica tecnica giapponese ha l’abilità di “legare” gli ossidi alla materia tramite l’acqua, penetrando e irradiando una casuale magia. Riesce a trasformare una semplice incisione in un legame indissolubile, dove gli smalti creano fluorescenze singolari.

Continua ricerca e sperimentazione accompagnano Cristiano fino ad oggi. Maestro d’Arte nella sua completezza, è in grado di trasmettere tutto ciò che ha esperito a livello artistico e umano. Le sue opere raccontano questo slancio di storia: sono forza, frattura di schemi rigidi e visione di una bellezza capace di suscitare evoluzioni e sfide interiori.

The hidden corners of a city like Venice allow us to glimpse a young artist in the making: first earning an ISA diploma in ceramics, and later graduating in sculpture, manipulation, and decoration from the renowned Academy of Fine Arts of Venice.

With a solemn commendation as a Maestro d’Arte (Master of Art) for his exceptional skill in merging clay with vitreous materials, Cristiano Pasqual marked the conclusion of his formal training and the beginning of his debut in the complex yet fascinating world of art.

He embraces the most ancient of crafts, that of the Master Artist, which is rooted in the fundamental elements and forces of nature: earth, fire, and water, completing the circle with the vital breath of air to give form to matter.

​

Supported and inspired by his mentors, Candido Fior and Alberto Burri, he infuses his artistic background with a total immersion in the millennial art of Japanese ceramics—a tradition of the "mark" and the ritual sacredness of forms and materials. It was in Japan that he earned three Master’s certifications in oxide techniques, minerals, and decorative manipulation.

“Shibaru” (to tie) is central to his vision, allowing him to create unique works defined by imperfections and chromatic variations achieved solely through manual mastery, both in the carving and the application of glazes and oxides. Shibaru is an ancient Japanese technique applied to ceramics that "binds" oxides to the material through water, radiating a spontaneous magic. It transforms a simple incision into an unbreakable bond, where glazes merge to create singular fluorescences.

Continuous research and experimentation have guided Cristiano to where he is today: a Master Artist in the fullest sense, capable of conveying everything he has experienced on both an artistic and human level. His works tell a story of momentum; they represent strength, the breaking of rigid patterns, and a vision of beauty that is, ultimately, the power to provoke inner evolution and challenge.
